Reflection: He's right you should never break a promise well the only time you can is that it all depends the circumstance but other then never break a promise because if you do how is that person even sure they can trust now since you broke the promise both of you made would be able to trust someone after they break a promise maybe the first time but if he/she does it again and again can you really keep on trusting that person.
